Last year the Crossroads program paired over 30 Simple Room youth with Greenville College students who served as mentors. A Crossroads "big brother" or "big sister" can have many different roles in a child's life. Sometimes being a mentor means helping with homework or a job application. At other times being a mentor might mean working out together or getting coffee. But at all times, being a mentor means being a friend. It means listening and encouraging and growing together.
